ABOUT THE MANSÃO DO PASSEIO

Mansão do Passeio presents a unique opportunity to explore authentic Portugal.

Through a recently restored mansion that initially served as the main residence of an important family from the Alentejo region, you will experience the refinement of the architects, engineers and craftsmen who worked for many years to create these structures, annexes and gardens that have remained together for the last eight decades.

The intention of the owner and architect was to create something unusual for the country - within the city limits, to replicate a traditional rural farmhouse or large country mansion that is prevalent throughout the interior of Portugal.

The property and its iconic image and branding are named after and inspired by the adjacent Fonte do Passeio, which represented a major step forward for the city of Alcácer do Sal in 1857 when city leaders harnessed the power of an ancient spring to provide clean drinking water to its citizens.

The Fountain is built into the exterior walls of the Mansão do Passeio, but its spouts still deliver this precious resource to the citizens, just as they have done for almost 200 years.

After undergoing extensive renovations following over thirty years of vacancy, the Mansion is reopening with a new vision. It now offers modern corporate and private offices for rent, event rooms, outdoor spaces and gardens for corporate or personal events, as well as shops, including the Artisanal Gallery showcasing regional products and local crafts, opening its doors in Summer 2024.

Come visit the Mansão do Passeio, built on heritage, built for you.
